Within Etobicoke, industrial activity clusters along corridors that feed directly into Pearson and the 400-series network. Key routes include Dixon Road, Kipling Avenue, and the Hwy 427, 401, and 409 interchange system. Highway 427 frames the west side of the airport lands, and cargo and logistics fleets concentrate here for airport access — staging at yards and terminals where turnaround time is measured in hours, not days.

Sending a truck to a fixed inspection location can remove both the vehicle and driver from scheduled work because of travel, waiting and inspection time. An authorized mobile DriveON inspection can be completed at the yard between shifts or dock appointments.
Mobile testing reduces downtime. It does not change pass/fail standards and does not guarantee a passing vehicle emissions report.
Heavy-duty diesel commercial motor vehicles with a Registered Gross Weight (RGW) over 4,500 kg need an emissions inspection when Ontario's ownership-transfer or plate-renewal triggers apply — for example when renewing a plate sticker on a unit at least seven model years old, or when a new owner is registering a unit older than the current model year. That is not the same as a blanket “annual emissions test for every truck.”
